  • Q1｜How thick is the vest? What temperature range is it designed for?

    This vest works as a mid-layer insulation piece, sitting between a lightweight fleece and a winter-grade fleece jacket in warmth.

    Recommended temperature use:

    • 10–15°CWear alone — just warm enough for everyday walks
    • 5–10°CLayer under a PETT2GO Raincoat or Windbreaker
    • Below 5°CMid-layer + thick outer shell for best warmth retention

    Note: We don’t recommend long outdoor exposure for dogs in very low temperatures.

  • Q2｜Can it be worn on its own, or does it need a raincoat?

    Both are appropriate — simply adjust based on weather conditions.

    • Cool & dry day：Wear on its own for everyday walks
    • Damp, rainy, or windy conditions：Layer under a PETT2GO Raincoat / Windbreaker to block moisture and wind

    It depends on climate and activity level. Long-haired dogs have natural insulation, but they can still lose heat quickly in certain situations:

    • Cold wind hitting the spine and chest
    • Wet fur increases heat loss
    • Senior dogs or dogs with lower activity levels
    • Longer winter walks or hikes

    The vest helps protect the spine and chest, keeping core body temperature more stable — especially in windy or damp weather.

  • Q4｜Is it machine-washable? Will it pill?

    Yes, it is machine-wash safe and built for durability.

    Washing instructions:

    • Gentle machine wash in cold water (use a laundry bag)
    • Low-heat tumble dry or air dry
    • Avoid bleach, ironing, or dry cleaning

    The brushed fleece has passed durability testing and is resistant to pilling under normal use.

    Mild pilling from harness friction or heavy outer-layer rubbing is considered natural wear over time.
